Important Notes

Albanian citizens can enter the Schengen Area (which includes Austria) visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This is for tourism, business, or family visits. For stays longer than 90 days or for purposes such as work or study, a national visa is required. ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) will become operational in mid-2025, and Albanian citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS authorization before traveling to the Schengen Area. This is not a visa but a travel authorization.
