As Germany and Belgium are both members of the European Union and the Schengen Area, German citizens can travel freely to Belgium without a visa for tourism, business, or short-term stays. They can stay for an unlimited period, but for statistical purposes, the general Schengen rule of 90 days within any 180-day period is often cited for non-EU citizens. For EU citizens, there is freedom of movement. A valid German passport or national identity card is sufficient for entry and stay.
