Important Notes

All tourists (except citizens of India) must book their travel through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or one of their international partners. The tour operator will handle the visa application process and SDF payment on behalf of the traveler. The visa is processed and approved by the Department of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bhutan, only after the full payment of the tour package and SDF has been received and cleared by the Tourism Council of Bhutan. Due to the current political situation in Afghanistan and Bhutan's strict tourism policies, obtaining a visa might be challenging or subject to additional scrutiny. Processing time can vary significantly, often depending on the tour operator and the government's review. The validity and stay duration are typically tied to the approved tour itinerary.
