German citizens require a Tourist Card (Tarjeta del Turista) to enter Cuba. This is not a traditional visa but a mandatory entry requirement. It can be purchased from airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, or the Cuban Embassy/Consulate prior to travel. The cost can vary slightly depending on the purchase location (e.g., airline, agency). The Tourist Card allows for a stay of up to 90 days and can be extended once for another 90 days while in Cuba. Travel insurance with medical coverage is mandatory and may be checked upon arrival.
