Important Notes

Albanian citizens can travel visa-free to Denmark and other Schengen Area countries for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This visa-free status applies to tourism, business, and family visits. For stays longer than 90 days, or for purposes such as work or study, a national visa or residence permit is required. ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) will be implemented in the future, which will require pre-travel authorization for visa-exempt nationals, including Albanians. The exact implementation date for ETIAS is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected in mid-2025. This information is current as of early 2024.
