Important Notes

Albanian citizens can travel visa-free to Hungary and other Schengen Area countries for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This is for tourism, business, or visiting friends/family. For stays longer than 90 days or for purposes such as work or study, a long-stay national visa must be obtained from the Hungarian embassy or consulate in Albania prior to travel. ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) will be required for visa-exempt non-EU nationals, including Albanians, starting from mid-2025. Travelers will need to apply for an ETIAS authorization online before their trip.
