Citizens of Afghanistan are generally required to obtain a visa in advance from a Lao embassy or consulate. Visa on arrival and eVisa options are not available for Afghan passport holders. The process can be challenging due to limited diplomatic representation of Laos in Afghanistan and the need to apply through an embassy in a third country, which may have additional requirements and longer processing times.
