Citizens of Iran require a standard visa to enter the Federated States of Micronesia. There is no FSM embassy or consulate in Iran. Applicants typically need to apply through an FSM diplomatic mission accredited to Iran, or through a third-country FSM mission (e.g., in the Philippines, USA, or UN mission). Due to the lack of direct representation and the general difficulty for Iranian citizens to obtain visas for many countries, the process is considered hard. It is highly recommended to contact the nearest FSM diplomatic mission or their Department of Foreign Affairs well in advance for the most accurate and up-to-date requirements and application procedures.
