Important Notes
San Marino is completely surrounded by Italy and does not have its own border control. Therefore, entry into San Marino is effectively governed by the Schengen Area rules. Albanian citizens are visa-exempt for short stays (up to 90 days in any 180-day period) in the Schengen Area, which includes Italy. Upon entry to Italy (Schengen Area), an Albanian passport holder can travel freely to San Marino. ETIAS will be required for visa-free travelers to the Schengen Area (including Italy) starting from mid-2025.
