German citizens can enter Ukraine without a visa for stays up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This applies to tourism, business, and family visits. Ensure your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date from Ukraine. While not always strictly checked, it's advisable to carry proof of sufficient funds and accommodation. Due to the ongoing war, travel advisories should be checked regularly with the German Federal Foreign Office and the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Some regions of Ukraine are under martial law and travel to these areas is highly discouraged or restricted.
