Important Notes

German citizens can enter Japan for short-term stays (up to 90 days) without a visa. This applies to tourism, business meetings, visiting friends or relatives, and other non-remunerated activities. For stays longer than 90 days or for purposes such as work, study, or long-term residence, a visa is required and must be obtained in advance from a Japanese embassy or consulate.
