Important Notes

German citizens can enter Japan for tourism, business, visiting friends/relatives, or transit purposes for up to 90 days without a visa. An extension of stay for an additional 90 days may be possible, but this must be applied for at an immigration office in Japan before the initial 90-day period expires. The passport must be valid for the entire period of stay in Japan. There are no specific validity requirements beyond the duration of the intended stay.
