Important Notes

Japanese citizens can enter Germany and other Schengen Area countries for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa. This applies to the entire Schengen Area, not just Germany. For stays longer than 90 days or for purposes such as work or study, a national visa must be obtained prior to travel.
