Important Notes

Japanese citizens can enter Greece and the entire Schengen Area for tourism or business purposes without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This period starts from the date of first entry into any Schengen country. From mid-2025, Japanese citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) authorization prior to travel to the Schengen Area, which is not a visa but a travel authorization.
