Requirements

  • 1.Original Nigerian passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay and with at least two blank pages.
  • 2.Completed and signed visa application form (online application required).
  • 3.Two recent passport-sized photographs (5x5 cm, white background).
  • 4.Flight reservation (round trip).
  • 5.Hotel reservation or invitation letter from Turkey (notarized if from a Turkish citizen).
  • 6.Proof of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statements for the last 3-6 months, showing adequate funds for the trip).
  • 7.Employment letter/Business registration certificate (if self-employed).
  • 8.Marriage certificate (if applicable).
  • 9.Birth certificate (for minors, along with consent letter from non-traveling parent/guardian).
  • 10.Travel insurance covering the entire duration of stay.
  • 11.Copy of international credit/debit card (if applicable).
  • 12.Police character certificate (may be requested for long-term visas or at the discretion of the embassy).

Important Notes

Nigerian citizens generally require a standard sticker visa obtained in advance from a Turkish Embassy or Consulate. There is no eVisa option for Nigerian passport holders unless they hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, or Ireland visa or residence permit. The visa fee is subject to change and should be confirmed with the Turkish Embassy in Abuja or Consulate in Lagos. Processing time can vary, so it's advisable to apply well in advance.
